Poplar Bluff police searching for man who fired shots into home

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) -

A no-bond warrant was filed on Monday, Aug. 11 for a man accused of firing shots into a Poplar Bluff home.

Police say they spent the better part of Monday looking for Christopher Gainwell.

They say they believe he has cut his hair and is now wearing glasses.

Around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Poplar Bluff officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Roxie Dr. for a report of shots fired into a home.

Witnesses reported that Christopher Gainwell, 25, of Poplar Bluff demanded entry to the home Roxie Dr.

When the residents refused to let him in, Gainwell fired three shots into the home, through a window at the front of the house, according to police.

No one was injured.

Gainwell was also wanted on outstanding warrants for unrelated felony charges.

Christopher Gainwell should be considered armed and dangerous.
