CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Cape Girardeau police say one person was taken to an area hospital with burns after a motorcycle fire on Sunday.

It happened around 6 p.m. on the southern expressway near S. Kingshighway and Mt. Auburn Road.

Police on the scene found the driver with bad burns and the motorcycle on fire.

Cape Girardeau fire crews extinguished the motorcycle fire before it was towed away from the intersection.
