Donald Hayes, 67, is facing a murder charge for the shooting death of Danny Wilson, 57, on June 21. The two men were in the 4200 block of Poplar Level Road when it is believed they got into an altercation while driving separate cars. The shots were fired after the men pulled into a bank parking lot. Wilson was found after his car crashed into another vehicle in a parking lot across Taylor Avenue.

Hayes operates a hot dog stand at the corner of 6th and Jefferson and has returned to work after posting bail. Because some of his clients are members of the Commonwealth Attorney's Office, a special prosecutor has been asked to handle the case.
