LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - There was free ice cream being handed out today and it was all for a good cause.

Denali Flavors, the creator of Moose Tracks Ice Cream, teamed up with the Salvation Army for the 10,000 Scoops challenge. During the four hour event held at Fourth Street Live! celebrity scoopers, like WAVE 3 News anchor Dawne Gee, dished out the sweet treat to ice cream lovers.

Each scoop handed out meant $1.00 was donated to the Salvation Army. The money raised goes to support Salvation Army programs you know here in Louisville, like the Angel Tree program.
