2 children injured in drunk driving accident

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A woman driving under the influence with her two children in the car is being charged with wanton endangerment.

According to an arrest report, Tessa Priddy, 33, was involved in a head-on collision around 8:00 p.m. on August 16. Priddy told an officer she had been drinking earlier in the day and admitted to having two small children in the car at the time of the accident. Neither child wore a seatbelt.

When police arrived at the scene, Priddy's mother had already picked the 6-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy up. They also found open beer bottles in the car.

EMS was dispatched to the location were the children were and they were taken to Kosair Children's Hospital.

Priddy is being charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, wanton endangerment, possession of an open container in a motor vehicle and DUI.
