That's when the victim and her 17-year-old daughter tried to shove Hayes out of the house. Hayes ran to his vehicle which was parked in the grass next to the victim's home.

The victim and her daughter were standing on the sidewalk begging Hayes to leave. He crossed an alley, drove onto the sidewalk and stopped his car in front of the women. Hayes then hit the gas and ran into the woman, barely missing her daughter.

While the car was over the woman, Hayes accelerated and spun out onto the road, went the wrong way down the street and drove away. He then called witnesses and told them what happened.

The victim was rushed to the emergency room with open fractures on her leg and several broken vertebrae.

Hayes is being charged with assault and wanton endangerment.
