TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Update - The Pima County Sheriff's Department served a search warrant Tuesday evening and re-arrested Shannon Spooner on two counts of possession of stolen property, according to PCSD PIO Tom Peine.

We're learning more about the Tucson family accused of burglarizing a home in the 3600 block of North Soldier Trail on Monday.

Deputies arrived within minutes to arrest 43-year-old Sonny Conrad and his girlfriend, Shannon Spooner, 39. But they weren't the only ones at this northeast side home on Monday.

This is one story you may never forget.

“The fact we have not only minors involved, but an infant,” says Pima County Sheriff's Deputy Tom Peine, referring to what happened Monday.

Pima County Sheriff's Department received a call at 1:25 p.m. of a burglary in progress.

When authorities arrived on scene three and half minutes later, even they couldn't believe what was taking place.

"The first deputy that arrived managed to block that vehicle in by parking his vehicle right in front of it,” Peine says, describing how the suspects' white sedan was backed into the property, just feet from the front of the house.

"And then inside the vehicle he saw in the driver seat the adult female. And then the one and half year old toddler who was in the passenger seat,” Peine says.

At that very moment, Peine says another deputy confronted and arrested 43-year-old Sonny Conrad and his 15-year-old son. Both were running from the house as deputies pulled in.

Since then, we've learned Conrad may have planned this with his girlfriend, 39-year-old Shannon Spooner.

Authorities say she was the one behind the wheel, and next to her baby, when deputies arrived.

Interestingly enough, this isn't the first time that white Pontiac G6 has been spotted at a crime scene.

Thanks to residential surveillance, on July 21 we see the same vehicle and a woman who looks a lot like Shannon Spooner outside a different home that was broken into.

Just because she was there that day doesn't make her guilty, authorities say.

But it's one of many questions investigators must now consider in this developing case.

"Now that their faces are known, people may recognize these individuals,” Peine says. “Maybe now they can make some connections or they have observed them in situations where they say, ‘nah, that just doesn't look right,' so those are very important tips to us."

Sheriff's detectives are collaborating with several local agencies to see if these suspects, their car or method of operation is consistent with any other unsolved cases across southern Arizona.

If you have any information that might help this ongoing investigation, you're asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
