Former LMAS employee accused of negligence

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A former Louisville Metro Animal Services employee finds herself in the dog house, amid allegations of negligence.

The ‘Ville Voice' originally reported that former LMAS Senior Manager Margaret Brosko misused donations given to the agency to perform surgery on a pit bull named Sadie. The surgery was never performed and Sadie was euthanized.

Brosko was reassigned to work as a spokesperson in the mayor's office, The Metro Council has formed as ad hoc committee to investigate the claims. The committee will hold its first hearing next Wednesday.

LMAS has been without a director since 2013.
