JCPS: Superintendent to recommend no tax rate increase

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The Jefferson County Public Schools superintendent will recommend taxes remain at the current rate for the fiscal year 2014 – 2015.

Dr. Donna Hargens will make the recommendation concerning the real estate and property tax rates to the JCPS Board of Education on Monday, August 25, JCPS spokesman Ben Jackey stated in a release on Wednesday.

Current tax rates are set at 71 cents per $100 of assessed value and were approved by the JCPS Board on Aug. 12, 2013.
