App forces kids to call parents back

HOUSTON, TX - Tired of her kids ignoring her calls, one mom put her foot down by building an app to combat the silence on the other end of the line.

A cell phone app called "Ignore No More" disables kids' phones until they answer their parents.

If a teen ignores a parent's call or texts, the parent can lock the phone -- no calls, no texts, no games. The teen can only call 911 or the parent who can unlock the phone with a code.

Sharon Standifird, who designed the app, says it's become a big hit with parents. "Parents have actually emailed me, thanking me for creating this app," she said.

Teens who might be locked out of their phones say they are less excited.
