GREENSBURG, KY (WAVE) - A parking lot built over the basement of a demolished building collapsed under the weight of a firetruck, opening a hole that swallowed the rear half of the truck.
The truck, from the Summersville Fire Department, was in the parking lot of a car dealership around 1:30 p.m. Sunday when the pavement collapsed.
The truck will be left in place overnight. Crews will use special equipment Monday to remove the truck and assess the damage.
Officials did not say if anyone was inside the truck at the time of the collapse, but did say that no one was hurt.

Crowds moved out as Thunder came to an end at Waterfront Park on Saturday night. Thunder lived up to its name, shaking the air from day to night.
One of the biggest challenges people face is living beyond their means and taking on too much debt.
Volunteers are asked to gather at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning near the newly installed Ferris wheel at the parking lot at the base of the Big Four Bridge. Clean up supplies will be provided.
It'll be fun. It'll be exciting. But for a family, Thunder can be costly. Here's an estimate of what people can expect to spend.
