Person of interest named in Clarksville shooting

 CLARKSVILLE, IN (WAVE) - Police are seeking to question a man after a woman was shot inside her apartment when a bullet came through the window.

According to Clarksville police, officers were called to an apartment building in the 200 block of W. Montgomery Avenue around 2:45 a.m. The victim says she was walking back into the living room when she was shot. The round hit her in the stomach.

Chief Mark Palmer of the Clarksville Police Department told the News and Tribune would like to question David Booher, 47, about the shooting. Palmer said at the time the shot was fired the curtains were drawn and it is unclear whether the shooter knew the woman was in the room.

Anyone with information about Booher's whereabouts is asked to call Clarksville police at 812-284-4636.

The woman was taken to a University of Louisville Hospital where she underwent surgery.
