Suspect in murder of cab driver to return to Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The man arrested in connection with the murder of a cab driver in Oldham County has pleaded guilty to a separate charge in New York state.

Miles Matthews, 27, of Corydon, Indiana, was arrested in Watertown, NY near the Canadian border on July 20. His arrest came three days after the body of Adam Gregg of Louisville was found in a Goshen, KY driveway.

Matthews pleaded guilty this week to a misdemeanor count of stolen property and has time to serve. Now he will make his way back to Kentucky to face criminal charges here.

Police say the motive in Gregg's murder had something to do with heroin.
