Phoenix PD: Repeat airplane stowaway arrested again

Marilyn Hartman made national headlines this month when she somehow got on a plane in San Jose and made it to Los Angeles without a ticket.

Tuesday morning, the 62-year-old woman was arrested in Phoenix at Sky Harbor International Airport, accused of doing the same thing.

Police recognized her because she was spotted here less than two weeks ago, Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said.

Hartman was removed from Sky Harbor and given a trespass warning after she attempted to enter a security checkpoint without a ticket.

On Tuesday, she was arrested and charged with criminal trespass. Officers have requested the woman undergo a mental health evaluation.

She was recently ordered to spend 117 days in jail for violating probation by returning to Los Angeles International Airport. She served a fraction of her sentence and was released because of overcrowding.
