ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - One of the afternoon storms that moved across the region Wednesday has caused the cancellation of Thursday's classes at a Hardin County school.

According to John Wright, community relations director for Hardin County Schools, a storm that came through Elizabethtown caused a tree to fall into the Mulberry-Helm Education Center at 114 S. Mulberry Street. The building houses Hardin County High School, an alternative education program for students who have had difficulty learning in a traditional classroom setting.

As a result of the fallen tree, classes for Thursday, August 28 scheduled for Hardin County High School at Mulberry-Helm Alternative Education Center have been canceled.
