LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Three people were killed and two were injured when a driver traveling south on Taylor Boulevard lost control of her vehicle and veered across the center line.
Police say around 1 a.m. Sunday, a car driven by 20-year-old Shelly Lanham was hit on the passenger side near the intersection with Oakwood Avenue. Lanham's brother, Charles, 19, and his brother-in-law, 17-year-old Cameron Blaney, were pronounced dead on the scene, according to the coroner's office. Shelley Lanham was taken to the emergency room at University of Louisville Hospital where she died less than an hour later.
The two men in the other car were transported to University Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Investigators have not cited any contributing factors to the accident at this time.
Funeral arrangements are still pending. A fund has been established to help pay for Blaney's funeral services. Donations can be made at Fifth Third Bank, Cedar Springs Branch at 6900 Bardstown Road. Starting Tuesday other Fifth Third Bank branches will be accepting donations. An online fund has also been established at:
