Convenience store robbery suspect arrested, held up same store twice

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville man has been arrested for committing four robberies of convenience stores.

Jackie Lamont Neal, 42, was arrested by Louisville Metro Police on Sept. 1.

According to his arrest report, Neal is charges with committing four robberies at three Speedway locations - 4547 Taylorsville Road on Aug. 8, 7430 Terry Road on Aug. 10, a second robbery on Aug. 18 at the Taylorsville Road store and a Aug. 31 robbery at 5339 Dixie Highway. In each case, Neal indicated he had a gun and demanded the cash.

Police arrested Neal in the parking lot in the 6400 block of Verango Drive where they had gone to serve a search warrant. During a search, officers found what they believe to be crack cocaine in his pocket.

Neal was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on four counts of robbery and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
