CINCINNATI, OH (WAVE) - An area restaurant owner with quite the Twitter presence hopes his followers will help him bottle up a thirsty thief.

Jeff Ruby, who owns a downtown Louisville steakhouse that bears his name, tweeted a surveillance photo of a man who stole from one of Ruby's Cincinnati restaurants.

Many of his 24,000 followers replied to and re-tweeted Ruby's tweet that he sent out Wednesday night.

He told Cincinnati television station WXIX the thief stole "quite a few bottles" of liquor, adding that an entrance door to the restaurant was not properly wired. Ruby is now offering a $1,000 reward.

Ruby used the popular site just last month to tweet out a photo of his floating restaurant near Covington, Ky., that had partially sunk in the Ohio River.
