LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - His name is Mark Kramer, but he's better known in the Louisville music scene as Tender Mercy.
With a slow, quiet sound, Kramer has added his own touch to local music. He describes his sound as a "softly dramatic experimental folk ballad."
Fans can look forward to a new album this year. Entitled "The Sacred Sphinx," it was named for a particularly memorable house show he performed in Rochester, New York. The album will be released as a five track cassette. If you can't wait, head to his website, tendermercy.bandcamp.com, to listen to some tracks and find out more about the music.
A must see live show, music lovers are getting the chance coming up. Tender Mercy will be playing at Mag Bar in Old Louisville on October 9 and 18.
The Setlist is a collaboration between WFPK Music Director Kyle Meredith and WAVE 3 News Producer Laurel Mallory with editing by Zach Vickers. It airs every Sunday morning on WAVE 3 News Weekend Sunrise, which is produced by Ali Hammond.
