LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Adults and children from all over the world put their martial arts skills to the test over the weekend.
Louisville's Hwang Martial Arts hosted the 28th annual Taekwondo Championship at the Kentucky Exposition Center on Saturday, October 18. Students of all ages competed in Taekwondo forms including board breaking, sparring and weapons for black belt.
"Well over 700 competitors from all over the world," said Mimi Hwang. "We have a team from Bermuda, Alaska, Nova Scotia and of course our own student body here at Hwang's Martial Arts, all competing for a three-foot trophy and a medal."
More than 1,500 people attended the event.
