Mike is a familiar face around WAVE 3 Television. He has worked here since 1988 on a part-time basis and was promoted to full-time status as the weekend sports announcer in March 1996.
Mike has more than twelve years experience in sports broadcasting. He has also worked as a self-employed TV producer and sports anchor. Prior to coming to WAVE 3 Mike worked as the sports director and anchor for WRKA Radio and WLKY-TV in Louisville.
In addition , Mike has worked for ESPN as a reporter for a weekly horse racing program and was the producer of several similar programs while working in Lexington. In 1992 he was honored with the Metro Louisville Journalism Award.
He graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication. Mike is married and has three children.
