LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Is Bobby Flay moving closer to buying a property in Louisville for a new restaurant?
Flay has already confirmed he wants to open a restaurant in Louisville. Now, speculation is growing about whether the location will be in NuLu, downtown or in the Highlands.
The old Burgers Market property near Louisville Collegiate School may be in contention. However, PRG Investments Managing Director Tyler Smith, who has show the Burger's property to several interested parties, can't confirm or deny to WAVE 3 News if Flay is among them.
Smith said the old market for sale at $1.3 million is a great deal in the Highlands and would be an ideal space for a restaurant because it has 5,000 square feet, already has a kitchen and has 25 parking spaces in a popular area.
Calls to Flay's representatives were not returned Monday evening.
