LARUE COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – A man who was allegedly driving around with a woman's corpse in his vehicle has been indicted by a grand jury.
Kentucky State Police said officers in Lebanon Junction pulled over 37-year-old Jason Davis, of Bonnieville, for a traffic stop when they discovered the body in the car with him.
The woman was identified as 32-year-old Shalayna Skaggs, of Buffalo, Kentucky.
Davis was taken into custody and charged with manslaughter, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, failure to report death and drug paraphernalia.
He is being held in the LaRue County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond.
Davis is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 5, 2015.
