UofL basketball players give out toys to children at Kosair Children's Hospital

. - LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Coming off a big win Tuesday night, some UofL basketball players took some time Christmas Eve to bring smiles to children who need them he most.

Mangok Mathiang and Anas Mahmoud visited Kosair Children's Hospital to hand out gifts collected from Kyle's Korner for Kids toy drive.

Louisville fans donated the toys at the game against FIU. Former Card Kyle Kuric started the charity. Since he is still playing professionally in Spain, both Mathiang and Mahmoud agreed to personally deliver some of the donations.

"They are our future so we got to show them attention and show them we care and we will always be there to help them out," Mathiang said.

A portion of the more than 1,300 toys collected were given out at Kosair Children's Hospital. The toys also will be distributed to the Home Of The Innocents.
