Pizza parlor employee chases suspect who stole $7 in tip jar

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man was arrested after allegedly stealing the tip jar from a pizza parlor.

Amos Cordell Clay, 28, took the tip jar from Annie's Pizza in the 4700 block of Cane Run Road on Tuesday afternoon, according to his arrest report. The jar had $7 in it at the time.

Clay ran out of the store, prompting an employee to chase after him. Clay then "swung at the store employee ... (who) took down the subject and detained him till the police arrived," the report said.

Clay eventually admitted to stealing the jar, and the theft was caught on video, police said.

He faces a robbery charge.
