Men's Soccer to Host Louisville City FC Wednesday at Cardinal Park

Kickoff set for 7 p.m., ET; tickets available for $5 each through U of L Ticket Office


The University of Louisville men's soccer team will host USL team Louisville City FC on Wednesday at 7 p.m., ET at Cardinal Park in a spring friendly match.

Wednesday's match was previously scheduled for Sunday afternoon at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium but was cancelled due to inclement weather. Tickets for Wednesday's match are $5 and can be purchased in advance through the U of L Ticket Office at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, by phone at 502-852-5151 or in person prior to the match at Cardinal Park, where gates open at 6 p.m.

All tickets purchased for the original date will be honored at Wednesday's match. All tickets for Wednesday will be general admission. Additional ticket information for the match is available at tickets@gocards.com or 502-852-5151.

The match with Louisville City FC is the first of five spring exhibition contests for the Cardinals. U of L will visit the Columbus Crew on March 29 before hosting Akron on April 4, SIU Edwardsville on April 12 and Xavier on April 18.

2015 Louisville Soccer Season Tickets

Season tickets for Louisville's second season at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium are now available. To obtain tickets for the 2015 soccer season, call Dan Cerwinske in the Louisville ticket office at (502) 852-0120 and place your $70 deposit. Ticket prices for the 2015 season will remain the same as the inaugural season and will start as low $45.

Season tickets for 2015 include every home match for both the men's and women's soccer programs. Men's home matches at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium will feature former Big East and American Conference rival Connecticut as well as in-state foe Kentucky. The women's team will once again host matches against the top programs in the ACC highlighted by 2014 College Cup winner Florida State and 21-time national champion North Carolina.
