'Look Good, Feel Better' helps women battling cancer

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Battling cancer is hard on many fronts. The physical side is hard enough, but the emotional side takes work, too.

One program is fighting back and helping women not only feel good, but look good too!

It's called The Women to Women Session and it's happening across the nation. The idea behind the session is to provide a quick course on wig care and even a look at the best way to beat the heat using colorful head scarves.

Dedra Allen, a Look Good, Feel Better facilitator says, "Having to shave your head can be a bit emotional but if you are applying you cosmetic correctly and with the right clothing it can look absolutely great."
