CLARK COUNTY, IN (WAVE) – After complaints of overcrowding, mold and leaking roofs a board voted in favor of building a new school, but the plan involves the existing one.
The Clark County School Board voted 3-2 Thursday to build a new Silver Creek High School.
Board President Brian Hurst said new additions will be built, but the school as a whole will not be entirely new. He said they plan to renovate as much of the existing structure as possible to save taxpayer dollars.
The board plans to have a facilitator assess the school to see what can be saved.
The logistics of the plan will be discussed in an upcoming work session.
