LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The estate of philanthropist, animal lover and founder of Kentucky's largest auto dealership, Sam Swope, is available for bidding during an online sale that's underway.

The sale, presented by Everything But The House, runs through Tuesday, March 31 at ebth.com. A public preview will be held at the Swope home at 2500 Poplar Crest in Indian Hills on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Eight-hundred twenty-seven items are available, including a Honda motorcycle; a large collection of designer watches, including a diamond and gold Rolex; autographed motorcycle helmets; fine furniture and original artwork, including sculptures. All bids start at $1. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Kosair Charities.

Everything But The House describes this as a rare opportunity to own a piece from the collection of a true Louisville legend.

The contents of the Swope estate in Longwood, Florida will be sold online April 1 to 7.

Sam Swope died December 9, 2014 at the age of 88.
