BEDFORD, KY (WAVE) - A Trimble County official was arrested by Kentucky State Police after an alleged domestic violence incident at his home on Wednesday.
Troopers from KSP's Campellsburg Post were sent to the home of Donald W. McCarty, a magistrate on the Trimble County Fiscal Court, in Bedford.
State police said someone called 911 on the evening of April 8, and dispatchers could hear an argument in the background. The domestic dispute was still ongoing when police arrived at the home.
McCarty was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault and taken to the Carroll County Detention Center. A protective order against him was granted to the alleged victim.
State police are still investigating.
