LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A new facility expected to create an estimated 250 jobs in downtown Louisville opened Wednesday.

Australian-based Computershare Inc. announced the project in September 2014.

Mayor Greg Fischer said, "Computershare taking that step here is being heard all over the industry and I hope it's going to lead to many more companies following, which will ultimately be thousands and thousands of jobs for downtown."

The company helps other businesses strengthen relationships with investors employees and customers.
