Memorial Funds Set Up For Murdered 10-Year-OId, Funeral Services Announced

(CROTHERSVILLE, Ind., February 2nd, 2005) -- Funeral arrangements have been made for Katlyn "Katie" Collman, the 10-year-old girl who was abducted and later found dead about 20 miles from her home. Two funds have also been established in her name.

Because such a large turnout is expected, funeral services for Katie will be held at the Crothersville Community School on Saturday, February 5th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, February 6th, 2005, from noon to 2 p.m.

The family has requested that news media not attend the service.

Adams Funeral home has donated its services to the family. Cerro Wire of Crothersville, where Katie's father works, is paying for the costs of other funeral related expenses.

Two funds have been established in Katie's memory. The Katie Family Fund was created by Cerro Wire at the Peoples Bank of Crothersville. Contributions can be sent to The Peoples Bank in Crothersville, 310 N. Armstrong Street, Crothersville, Indiana 47229. Phone: (812) 793-2141.

Another fund -- The Katie Fund -- was established by the Crothersville Vernon Township Volunteer Fire Department to assist in defraying the expenses involved with the search for Katie as well as for additional support for her family.
