Misty Mountain String band to play free show in Mayor's Gallery

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A band with a sound that is synonymous with the Bluegrass State will put on May's feature performance in the Louisville Mayor's Gallery in Metro Hall.

Misty Mountain String Band will play a free show on Thursday, May 7 as part of the

. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and music will begin just after noon. The public is admitted on a first come, first serve basis.

The string quartet draws influence from old-time traditional bluegrass, playing original music and covers. As their
