Bank inside grocery store robbed, police searching for suspect

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro police are asking for the public's help to identify a man they say robbed a bank located inside of a Kroger.

Surveillance cameras captured the suspect as he entered the Kroger, located at 3616 Buechel Bypass, on May 22. Police said once inside he walked up to the US Bank counter and handed the employee a note indicating he was armed and demanded money. 

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the robbery.

Investigators described the suspect as being man with a medium build between the ages of 45 and 55.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call the anonymous police tip line at (502) 574-LMPD.
