Hackers gain access to Clarksville court records

CLARKSVILLE, IN (WAVE) – Names, birth dates, social security numbers and addresses may have been compromised after hackers gained access to online court records in Clarksville.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Indiana Supreme Court are investigating the data breach.

The Court will be providing details on how those affected can protect themselves from identity theft. 

Anyone who has been a party to a case in the Court should continuously monitor their credit scores and personal accounts for any unauthorized activity.

People who are concerned they may have been exposed in this breach can contact the Clarksville Town Court at 812-283-1505.

The head of the town court said he takes full responsibility for the breach and will see to it personally this never happens again.
