LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A beloved Louisville ice cream may soon be sold in stores nationwide.

Mayor Greg Fischer and Lt. Gov. Crit Luallen joined Comfy Cow owners Tim and Roy Koons-McGee Tuesday for a ribbon cutting to launch its 6,500 square-foot facility located in the Regency Pointe Business Center in Jeffersontown.

Comfy Cow expects to invest $2 million in the facility and create up to 40 new jobs over the next decade.

The first Comfy Cow opened in Westport Village in December 2009.
