LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Students at Bellarmine University made their way back to campus Wednesday as the college welcomed a record-breaking freshman class.

The class of 720 students from 18 states and 13 countries spent the day getting acquainted with each other and Louisville.

"There's a lot going on, finishing up getting classrooms ready, meeting with our new faculty to make sure they're ready to rock and roll,” Bellarmine University Provost Carole Pfeffer said. “Construction is still going on to handle the growth in enrollment. So, lots of fun activities.”

Thursday, Aug. 20 is the first day of classes at Bellarmine.
