LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Great weather should help reverse the attendance woes that plagued the Kentucky State Fair last year. What will stop that from happening is traffic management.
Next weekend should be just as well attended as this past weekend, but the crowds will lessen if it means waiting in line for an hour or two just for the privilege of paying $8 to park.
Surely, the entrance to the park can be managed better than it was this past weekend. It needs to be or those who plan a repeat visit won’t and others who have yet to come may reconsider. Youngsters want to spend more time at the fair, not in the car waiting to get into it.
The free shuttle service being offered from Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium may be a better alternative.
Fair organizers have worked long and hard to provide worthwhile entertainment. It would be a shame to diminish it by frustrating folks before they even get into the Fairgrounds.
