CLARK COUNTY - An investigation into the use of landfill funds by former Clark County Commissioners shows the officials misused their authority in the appropriation of some of the money.
WAVE 3 media partner, News and Tribune, reported the findings in an exclusive report on Sunday.
An audit found that funding was used to give a pay raise to Highway Superintendent Jim Ross.
The Indiana State Board of Accounts also accused former commissioners of not soliciting bids for millions of dollars in site work at the Clark-Floyd Landfill.
Auditors have been looking into the use of landfill funds between January 2011 and August 2013 for the past two years.
