LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A road in Anderson County is now clear after a tractor-trailer overturned Monday morning causing a hazmat spill and evacuations.
WLEX-TV, the NBC affiliate in Lexington, reported a tractor-trailer hauling 6,600 gallons of highly-flammable pure-grain alcohol overturned on Graefenburg Road causing a small leak.Workers were worried the truck could rupture and cause a fire hazard.
A separate accident involving a car and a dump truck happened less than 100 yards from the tanker tip-over.
One person in the car was airlifted to UK Hospital in serious condition.
No fatalities were reported.
