LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A class is aiming to ease the troubles new mothers face.

It's called Mommy 101 and the class takes place weekly in the Park DuValle Community Health Center, 3015 Wilson Avenue. Norton Healthcare is hoping the class will provide a relaxing setting for new mothers to share advice and tips on parenting and breastfeeding.

"We teach, of course, that breastfeeding is best," said Jessica Siegal, family community educator of Norton Hospital. "So we really want to encourage our moms to take the opportunity to breastfeed their babies. and we want to give them all the education that we can, all the support that we can."

For women interested in the program, it will last until the end of the year and will kick off again next April.
