'Breaking Cardinal Rules' author hires well known attorney

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The woman who claims she was paid to have sex with University of Louisville basketball recruits has now hired a well known attorney.

WAVE 3 News has confirmed Katina Powell has hired Larry Wilder, a criminal defense attorney based in Jeffersonville.

Powell apparently retained Wilder because of concerns she could face criminal charges herself.  She wrote in the book "Breaking Cardinal Rules" that she used her own three daughters for prostitution at parties organized by former Louisville staffer Andre McGee.

The University of Louisville and the NCAA are investigating the claims.
