JCPS showcase to help parents decide

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Jefferson County Public School district officials are trying to ease parents' minds when it comes to picking their child's next school. The district started its annual school showcase on Friday, Oct. 16.

During the showcase, parents can meet with school administrators and students themselves to learn more about the programs available at the middle and high schools in JCPS.

JCPS magnet coordinator Kathy McGinnis said, “Choosing a school for a parent is very overwhelming because they want to get the right fit for their child, that's why this is so important because parents can actually talk to the students or talk to the people actually running the school and not have to go by word of mouth.”

The showcase will continue from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. at the Kentucky International Convention Center in exhibit hall 2C.
