Cards are Talented On and Off the Court

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) Coming into U of L basketball media day, we knew this was a talented bunch, but we did not know is that talent extends off the floor.  Video circulated social media at ACC Media Day when fifth year senior Trey Lewis played the piano as teammate Damion Lee freestyle rapped.  On Wednesday, Lee gave the media a sampling of his freestyle flow.

"If I had eight legs, that's Don, that's Spider (Donovan Mitchell's nickname)," rapped Lee.  Later, Lewis challenged Lee to a battle, but it never happened.  Lee claims he's the better of the two because he can freestyle acapella.

Lewis is used to performing in his new city.  The former pianist was forced to perform in front of a crowded restaurant on his recruiting visit to U of L.  "I told Coach, you know I play piano? He was like, no way.  And so, he told the piano guy to stop playing, and he said my point guard is going to play something for the whole restaurant.  Put me on the spot," laughed Lewis.
