INDIANAPOLIS (WISH/CNN) - A football coach in Indiana receives a huge gift just in time for the holidays - a new heart.
David Priestley found out two years ago that he needed a transplant.
His condition went from bad to worse, until a new heart became available last week.
Doctors performed the operation six days ago and Priestley is doing well.
"It's really a gift that ... thank you will never be good enough for," Priestley said.
Priestley will spend the Thanksgiving holidays in the hospital.
But players from his high school team will pay him a visit Friday.
He's expected to be back on the field next season.
