LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Ford Motor Company continues to invest in our region and that is a tribute to our workforce and our community, in addition to Ford.
A lighter Super Duty truck will be launched here in the back half of next year, and with it the company plans to hire 2,000 employees and invest $1.3 billion in upgrades.
Ford invested more than $200 million last year with upgrades at the Kentucky Truck Plant and the Louisville Assembly Plant.
Ford last year also invested $75,000 in Jefferson County Public Schools, selecting JCPS as one of their Next Generation Learning communities, and held their national Ford NGL conference here.
Hats off to all the Ford employees for helping making our community better, and to Ford for being such a vital part of this community.
