BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - Yogi Ferrell scored a career-high 38 points and Troy Williams had 15 points and a career-best 19 rebounds as Indiana defeated IPFW 90-65 on Wednesday night.
Ferrell hit 12 of 18 shots, including 4 of 8 from 3-point range. He was just four points off the all-time scoring record at Assembly Hall, which was 42 by Steve Alford in 1987.
Ferrell scored Indiana's final eight points of the game, including a pair of 3-pointers.
Robert Johnson added 16 points for Indiana (7-3) and Max Bielfeldt had 11 off the bench. Indiana shot 51.8 percent from the field and held a 51-28 advantage on the boards.
IU used an 11-2 run late in the first half to build a 15-point lead at 44-29. The Hoosiers led 48-34 at halftime.
Mo Evans led IPFW (7-4) with 21 points.
