LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An ethics complaint filed against Metro Councilman David James was tossed.
Louisville attorney Shannon Fauver filed the complaint against James earlier this year, but it was thrown out in September.
Fauver claimed that James used inappropriate channels to gather information about Elizabeth Hoffman's case. Fauver said in September that James should have been kicked off Metro Council for what she called ethics violations.
Hoffman is the former Metro Council Democratic Caucus Director who was demoted after a public intoxication arrest on January 2. Her record was expunged after she performed community service.
The ethics commission ruled there was no proof presented that James violated the Metro ethics ordinance.
