Un Mensaje del Alcalde en Español

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Ahora que el 2015 llega a su final, me sente con el alcalde de Louisville Greg Fischer.

Ablamos sobre dos temas, el crimen en la ciudad y la economia.

El alcalde si esta preocupado sobre un aumento en el numero de homicidios que aumento por 58%  sobre el año pasado.

Pero Fischer todavia confia en Steve Conrad, el jefe del departamento, y me dijo que no esta buscando su reemplazo.

Fischer piensa que padres de familia necesitan ser mas involucrados en las vidas de sus hijos.

Hablando de la economia, el alcalde dice que Louisville va a crecer, y que la ciudad va atraer mas compañias y trabajos que pagan bien.

Fischer comenta que hay programas como Code Louisville para entrenar residentes para trabajos en tecnologia.

El alcalde habla un poco de Español y nos dio este mensaje.

"Yo espero que la comunidad Hispana este en Louisville por muchos años. Y Feliz Nuevo Año a todos."

    Early Thursday morning, Zara Goldberg, a barista at Please and Thank You, opened the coffee shop for the day. “The sun was already coming up so it was a little less spooky than it could have been,” Goldberg said. However, her morning routine quickly came to a halt.
