1 hurt when van hits JCPS bus

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - One person was taken to a hospital for treatment after a crash involving a Jefferson County Public Schools bus.

The crash happened just after 8 a.m. near the intersection of 31st Street and Southern Avenue. According to a JCPS spokesperson, bus 0946 was rear ended by a van.

The bus was carrying seven students from Kerrick Elementary School. None of them was hurt.

The driver of the van was treated by Louisville Metro EMS. The extent of the injuries is not known.
